It is still uncertain when and under what circumstances the UK will leave the European Union.
It is important that all UK citizens living in Iceland have registered their domicile with Registers Iceland before the UK leaves the EU in order to confirm their right to stay in Iceland.
UK citizens that have their domicile registered in Iceland will be guaranteed a continuous right to reside in Iceland after Brexit, as well as their relatives, who have registered their stay with Registers Iceland, and their unborn children.
UK citizens are encouraged to make sure they are registered correctly with Registers Iceland as residents in Iceland.
More information will be provided as the situation develops.
